Playback
InfoChannel Designer has smooth, full-screen, TV-like playback with real-time effects and transitions. There are hundreds of transitions to choose from including zooms, pushes, fly-ons, alpha and dissolves.
InfoChannel Designer supports unlimited layers of digital audio playback of WAV, MP3, MIDI, CD and external input.
Scala’s powerful playback engine takes advantage of Microsoft® DirectX™ and DirectShow™ and is optimized for the Pentium® III processor.

Authoring
InfoChannel Designer won’t eat up your production costs with a steep learning curve. Its easy user interface takes minutes to learn.
Interactive buttons, variables and branching can all be done without having to do any programming. All authoring features are provided graphically and advanced users can go even further with the ScalaScript language.
InfoChannel Designer has powerful graphics features including drawing tools, texture tiling, real-time image processing, opacity control and alpha channel support.
There are also plenty of professional text editing tools including spacing, kerning alignmnent, word-wrapping and a multi-language spell checker.

Input/Output
InfoChannel Designer has an array of publishing options including web component, web channel, CD-ROM, web CD, e-mail, stand-alone file or standard HTML. Web channels are viewable with the Scala free player, iplay™.
You can also import photos directly from digital cameras and scanners as clips in your production, then print in a variety of formats for hand-outs and storyboards.
