Dialog

Lendac Data Systems launched their partnership with the Dialog Corporation on Thursday the 21st of March in the Davenport Hotel, Dublin.

Lendac Data Systems has announced a new partnership with the Dialog Corporation, to enable Irish businesses access to a massive store of information 5,000 times the size of the Internet.  Lendac will now provide access to the Dialog, Datastar and Profound Information products on an all island basis. http://www.dialog.com/

The electronic publishing department is involved in a large number of publishing projects both nationally and internationally.  CD, DVD and Web based projects are undertaken using a wide variety of technologies including SGML, XML, HTML and Folio Views, CD, DVD.  Large amounts of legacy data stored by clients in many formats (e.g. Word, WordPerfect, HTML, printers markup, PDF and even paper) are being converted into usable electronic resources with full search and hyperlink facilities. http://www.lendac.ie/

DIALOG

 

NewsRoom

Now available from Dialog. NewsRoom compiles into a single source more than 6,300 separate periodical sources, approximately 80% in fulltext, from more than 100 countries. Sources include trade journals, scholarly publications, consumer press, newspapers, newsletters, newswires and broadcast transcripts. It is available from Dialog and DataStar.

 

Frost & Sullivan

Dialog announced an expanded exclusive licensing and content alliance with Frost & Sullivan, leading international marketing consulting and training company.

The agreement enables Dialog to offer worldwide users of its three online services -- Dialog®, Profound® and DataStar™ -- site licensing rights to electronically access Frost & Sullivan's analytical information. Site licensing arrangements enable Dialog to customize highly tailored packages for its customers, offering unlimited searching and document retrieval of Frost & Sullivan materials at fixed monthly subscriptions.

The agreement also increases the flow of Frost & Sullivan's in-depth and extensive strategic analysis added to the three Dialog services and available for online retrieval.

An expanded roster of strategic research databases covering industrial, healthcare and communications/information technology industries, companies and topics are now being added the Dialog services. Approximately 40 newly released Frost & Sullivan analyses are added monthly.

On Dialog services, the Frost & Sullivan content may be found in Files 765 and 767. On the DataStar service, the materials are in Files FSER and FSMR. On the Profound service, the content is available through ResearchLine.

 

e-journal Linking

Dialog has added the ability for users of its Dialog® service to link seamlessly -- and without cost -- to the full texts of more than 8,000 scientific, medical and technical e-Journals published by more than 40 leading scientific publishers and information aggregators.

CONTEXT

 New data added to Irish Reports and Digests

Subscribers to the Electronic Irish Reports and Digests on CD-ROM now have access to the latest Digest volume which covers 1994 to 1999 for Irish Reports and Northern Ireland Reports, and 1992 to 1999 for the Irish Law Reports Monthly.

The Electronic Irish Reports and Digests was launched in May 2000 in conjunction with The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for Ireland. The Electronic Irish Reports contains the full text data of published cases from 1919 and the Electronic Irish Digests provides a reference to each case reported in a number of publications, including The Irish Reports, Northern Ireland Reports, Irish Law Reports Monthly and Irish Law Times Reports

 

New software release – Justis 5.31

A new software release is now available to Justis CD-ROM subscribers.

Justis 5.31 is now fully compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP, and will therefore be of interest principally to those who are already using, or are about to transfer to, these platforms.

Ovid Technologies announced that over 700 Kluwer journals would be made available via their powerful search software in early 2002. The Kluwer Collection will provide direct bibliographic and PDF access to key titles in a broad range of subject areas, including engineering (electronic, physics and electrical), medicine, psychology and social sciences, agriculture, animal sciences and fisheries, biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceuticals, geoscience, religion and philosophy and linguistics. Both Ovid and SilverPlatter databases will link to the journals, which can be purchased on an individual title basis or in subject-specific packages.

Safarism Tech Books Onlinesm

IT answers in an instant. ProQuest now distributes Safariam Technical Books Onlinesm to the higher education and public library markets. Safarism Technical Books Onlinesm is a joint venture between the industry's two leading IT publishers, O'Reilly & Associates, Inc. and The Pearson Technology Group.
